CIC in ERP2004/2005 vs CRM

Postby Angie_ » Tue Sep 19, 2006 7:05 am

Hi guys,

does anybody knows if it is still possible to use CIC (customer interaction center) in ERP2004/2005? My client don’t want to implement CRM but requests call center functionality.

In which terms is the functionality limited in comparison to CIC in CRM? Will CIC in ERP200x supported in the future?

The requested scenario: A service planner answers the phone. Customer info popsup. The availability of a suitable technician is checked and confirmed to the customer. Is that feasible w/o CRM?

Thanks a lot,
Angie

Hi Angie,

I noticed your post from way back.

My client is looking for a Call Center solution and does not want to implement CRM as well. So I am looking at possibly using the CIC in pre-CRM version of SAP. Our scenarios revolve more on outbound sales calls to capture customer orders. The industry is a Dairy production / sales (e.g. milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.)

Would you be able share your findings on this topic and how you proceed at you business?

Thanks in advance,
Doug
