Barcode Space Problem

Post by zerocool » Thu Dec 05, 2002 4:10 am

Hi all,

Have a problem in SAP 4.6c with a SAPScript label,

A field is printing (without barcoding) i.e straight out of an internal table as

100 400 (Notice the 3 spaces)

Then when barcoded, i.e using correct barcode formatting, in this case BC_CD39.
<BC>I_DATA-FIELD</>

The barcode when scanned only has 1 space in it, the client wants it with 3 spaces as the field in the field normally printed without barcoding,

Any ideas or solutions????

Thanx all

You can define another field I_DATA-FIELD2 which has 2 characters more than I_DATA-FIELD.

MOVE I_DATA-FIELD+0(X) (BEFORE SPACE) to I_DATA-FIELD2+0(X) and MOVE I_DATA-FIELD+Y(Z) (AFTER SPACE) to I_DATA-FIELD2+A(Z).

Where Y = X + 1.
Z = Len. of field after space.
A = X + 3.

Display I_DATA-FIELD2 as Barcode.
