OTF Attachment by e-mail (with Lotus MTA for R/3)

Post by Guest » Tue Dec 03, 2002 6:31 am

Hi to all. We have R/3 4.6C, Win2K and Lotus Domino Server as a SMTP Server. I configure the Lotus MTA for R/3 to transfer mail from R/3 to Internet, and it works fine. But when I try to send a mail with a OTF file attached, it returns a conversion error.

Is there a way to convert this OTF in HTML? or maybe from OTF to PDF? The big problem is the OTF is a Payment invoice, and it has a Barcode - and I Can't convert the barcode to PDF - on the output, all the bars are the same lenght!

Hello Sandro,

I'm not sure as far as the bar-code is concerned, but it's worth a try:

From release 4.0x you can download a print spool request to a PDF file.

Note the spoolrequest number (transaction SP01).
Run program RSTXPDFT4.
Enter spool request number and target PDF file name.

Hello Sandro,
the conversion OTF --> PDF has to be set with transaction SCOT - SETTINGS- CONVERSION RULES. In the VIEW NODES you have to exclude OTF in SUPPORTED ADRESS TYPES in INTERNET.
For the barcode I found no solution. So I exclude printing the barcode when sent by mail.

regards

Jürgen
