How to....

Post by aipolo » Mon Nov 18, 2002 5:31 pm

Hello;

How can I send print control characters through SAPscript to the printer in a way that cannot be interpreted as regular text. We need the printer to understand that they are escape sequences for the signature embeded in the printer's chip.

Hi.

It depends on the printer and what it sees as escape characters.
On a cheque printer I used $$ as an escape char eg:
$$[5w$$[16m$$[35m$$w1$$W0

Hi,

You can also use the command PRINT-CONTROL in the form, eg

/: PRINT-CONTROL 'name'.

You have to define the print control in the driver of the device with the transaction SPAD.

Good luck,

If you have any kind of trouble with " /: PRINT-CONTROL 'name' "
try putting in <32> in the previous command.
32 is an ascii char for blank space..
