Table form on long text, SO10, ...

Postby Zebuth » Tue Dec 16, 2014 6:42 am

Hi dear technical colleagues.
I come from logistic forum, and my job area is PM and QM.
I wanted to know if it is possible to manage a standard text (SO10, or other way) in a long text, in order to have a table into which I could enter data (like excel table) ? When I copy/paste a table from excel to SO10, I have noticed my table format (with lines and tabulations) is kept. But after saving, it is lost.
An idea please ?
For your information, my objective is to manage this table into a long text on QM notification item.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

You should be able to include a standard text into a long text using the INCLUDE TEXT command (or use READ_TEXT to get the lines if you want to keep the current standard text).
Your tabulations are saved (you can check in the old editor - they're stored as ',,'), but the standard paragraph formats do not have any tabulations defined, so they are of a default (and quite small, maybe 4 characters or a cm) size.

Thank you Gothmog.
As I understand, it is impossible to have a correct design for my table ?
(An yet when I paste from excel, my table has a good design and I have Microsoft options at my disposal ... and all of that disappear after saving, even Microsoft options !)
