Smartforms for document types

Postby muraliabap » Sat Jan 22, 2011 2:20 am

Dear Experts,

I am working in small organization. I have a requirement that to print the Billing documents through Smartforms. Here SD Consultant created 15 document types for different Invoices. So, I have modified the standard Smartform LB_BIL_INVOICE and driver program RLB_INVOICE according to clients requirement into YLB_BIL_INVOICE and YRLB_INVOICE. I assigned the Driver program and smartform. When I am trying to see print preview in VF02 there is no preview coming and no error. What could be the problem?

Please give me your inputs.

Thanks and Regards,

I'd advise to debug the SF function module to see where it goes wrong.

You say the preview isn't shown - how about the printing itself, does it work ?
And how do you call it ? Could you post the code where you determine and call the function module ?

Dear Gothmog,

I tried for print, Printing also not working. I copied the standard program RLB_INVOICE into YRLB_INVOICE and smartform LB_BIL_INVOICE into YLB_BIL_INVOICE, and I have modified the smartform according to the clients standard format.

Put a breakpoint in your printing problem right after smartform call. Then you can check what are system message values right after the smartform call. If there are some formatting problems or something does not fit into windows, those messages should tell you where your problem lies.

Dear YuriT,

I did what you said, but the controller didnt goes after smartform call. I changed in settings that kept the standard program(RLB_INVOICE) and my smartform(YLB_BIL_INVOICE) then it is working. If I put the driver program as YRLB_INVOICE at that time it is not working, what could be the reason?
