Cheque output showing as "#s" instead of "'s"

Postby JJNG » Thu Aug 12, 2010 6:32 pm

Hello all,

May I know if " ' " is not recognised in SAPscript/forms? This is because we have issued a supplier cheque and it end up showing as "Season#s" instead of "Season's". Any idea how do i go about fixing this? Is there any parameter setting required?
Appreciate any advise on this.

Thanks in advance.

For any printer, or only specific ones ?
I'd have a look at the Font (SE73) and the character set associated to the output device type (SPAD).

Hi Gothmog, thanks for your reply. I've tried on another printer of the same model and it has the same problem. In fact, when I do a print preview I saw that it is already showing as #. There is no change on the font or character and we do not have this problem before with similar vendor name with " ' ". Therefore we are quite puzzled why this happens. Any clue? :?

Was the supplier's name maually typed in letter by letter? or was it copy pasted from a word or excel sheet?
I've come across cases when copy pasted text brings along unwanted non-printable characters.

Just retyping the data into the SAP master and saving helps get rid of the issue
OR paste the copied data first into notepad, and then copy paste from notepad onto SAP field.
