Smartforms: Color printing problem using HPLJ4

Postby pacer » Fri Dec 01, 2006 4:22 pm

Hi guys,

I've added shaded lines for the details in my invoice form for clarity just like using zebra in alv. The problem started when our basis decided to change the device type from SAPWIN to HPLJ4. The color of the shaded lines which was defined as light gray in smartforms became black, thus, covering the data which have shaded lines. Pls. advice on how to correct this problem and why did it happen.

Thanks so much in advance!

All SAPScript and SMARTFORMs are printer-dependant, therefore changing the printer driver means there may (or in your case will) be differences in how the layout is presented (due to the differing capabilities of the printer and the different languages used).

You'll need to change your SMARTFORM
Kind Regards

So what... I also had the above problem, checked the box "color printer" in transaction SPAD, and the Smartform printed nicely.

Apparently SAP needs to consider the printer as a color printer, otherwise it will not even try to print grey shadings.
