Hex values in SAP 4.7 unicode

Post by Squarebear » Tue Sep 16, 2003 5:43 am

Hi All,

I am checking for when a character string contains a hex value.

Ideally:

DATA: HEX VALUE '0D'.
DATA: CHARSTRING(60).
DATA: FIELD1(60), FIELD2(60).

SPLIT CHARSTRING AT HEX INTO FIELD1 FIELD2.

This seems to no longer be possible in 4.7 due to the unicode restrictions. I've spent a day banging my head against a brick wall (don't tell the client!).

Has anyone else found a way of achieving this in 4.7?

Regards, SB.

Short-term Fix

I went to program attributes and unchecked the "Unicode Checks Active" checkbox.
