Performance BSEG

Postby rpinxt » Thu Sep 10, 2015 4:25 am

Ok I know there are performance "issues" when using table BSEG.
So in a query using BSEG will give you a long runtime if you not enter the specific document number.
Which actually happens quite often because mostly I want all documents in a certain period for a certain GL account.

But can someone explain how this is solved in the programming of FBL3N the standard SAP tcode for Accounting line items.
FBL3N is rather fast and you don't need to fill the document numbers...

Use table BSIS to select the documents, it's an index table designed precisely for this.
You can join it with BSEG/BKPF if you need additional data not contained in this table.

Alternatively, you can use the logical database SDF, like FLB3N does.

Dohhh....BSIS (maybe BSAS) ofcourse....
And as long as I do not need customer and/or vendor info that should do the trick.

But LD SDF could be the real golden tip for a lot of other things I have!
Thanks Gothmog!
