"wait" during BDC run

Postby sapfans99 » Fri Jan 23, 2015 1:54 pm

I have a BDC which creates a lease, and the last step is "Re price" before the save.
Sometimes the document gets created, and VA43 shows that pricing didn't pick up some condition records.
Analysis of PRicing says the condition record is there, but not recognized by pricing.
It suggests that the document be repriced.

I was wondering if I could somehow program a wait for N seconds "During the BDC execution",
before the "Re Price" & "Save" step is executed in the BDC
Any idea how that could be coded?

You can't do this from your BDC-creating program.
If it's really necessary, you could search for a suitable exit or enhancement point in the transaction's program to implement this wait.
I'd suggest to condition it to SY-BINPT = 'X', for example.

However, are you sure it's a timing problem?
