Use transaction SM36 to schedule a job, and use the program in a step of the job.

Thank you very much.
I'm sorry to ask too many questions.
But, the job was canceled and his log said :
"Please enter a session name and user name."
I return to "shdb" and create "session".
But,I re-execute the job and the error still the same ...

Thank you in advance.

This "Create session" function in SHDB only creates a batch input session for your recording (SM35), that you can then execute - nothing to do with the program created by the button next to it.
What exactly are you trying to do?

Hello,
My aim is to schedule many transactions every day at 06H30 a.m, and every morning to check the output generated.
So, I create a recording with these transactions, and it works manually. ( with you help and the help of many people in this forum).
But, my final aim is to schedule this recording and retrieve his output every day.

To do this, someone tell me that I should to create a "Program" based on this "recording", and after create a "Job" called this "Program" in his steps.
I did it, but the "Job" is cancelled with the error "Please enter a session name and user name."
Thank you in advance.

The selection screen of your program has fields for user name and session name. Did you fill them?

Hello,
Thank you for the time spend to assist me. very kind of you.
Non, no username/session appears during creation of Job.
with SM36, window called "Create step1" contains "APAB Program" to enter and no where we can enter "username" neither "session" ...

You have to create a variant for this selection screen, so the job knows what values to use for the parameters of the program.
When on the selection screen, enter the values you want to use, and click on the Save button.
Give it a name, a description, and use it in the job step.

I'm afraid, I don't understand.
When you said : "When on the selection screen, enter the values you want to use, "
You speak about what selection screen launched by what transaction ?

Sorru, I'm lost ... :-) :-)
Thanks in advance ...

The selection screen of your generated program.
The program you schedule in a step of the job.

No where in these screen we can save any variant
With sm36, we just can enter a name of program.
With shdb, we can just create program.

How you save a variant ?
