Read Transport Logs

Postby sapfans_user » Wed Feb 19, 2014 2:48 pm

Is there a FM or a class which gives the transport logs of a single transport as an ITAB ?

There are some methods in cl_cts_common_tools but they give overview, not the whole transport log (as seen in SE09)
Function module TMS_QAM_GET_TRACKING_LIST goes by dates (and not a particular transport #),
but again, they do not give the whole log across dev/qa/prod.

You can use STRF_READ_COFILE.
Here is an example in the SCN wiki.
You can also have a look at report RSPUTPRT if you want to display the detailled log of a step.

Also keep in mind that if the log was deleted from the application user, still all the import steps are in table TPALOG. However, only steps executed in the system are stored in the table, so you'll have to check each system via RFC.

Cheers,
