Am new to SAP and ABAP and was a little frustrated at all the clicking needed to create a table. Is there a way to upload the table into a script or it's data storage? or automatically created easily? (maybe like something WinShuttle?)

If you are frustrated with your first table, maybe you should think about a career's change... You can run SQL through ABAP, but it's a practice I will NEVER recommend.

oh come on Vic - it's not that bad. You get used to it after about 15 years.

I suppose if the OP doen't like all the clicking, he can learn the individual OK Codes behind the buttons and type them into the command line instead.

I do hope (Mr OP), that you are creating your tables correctly with data elements and domains and conversion exits and search helps (with their exits as well). If you think creating a table is a click fest, in the words of Bachman Turner Overdrive - "You ain't seen nothing yet".

I once heard a rumour that SAP pay their developers in proportion to the number of clicks required to complete a transaction!

Im new to ABAP too (3 weeks) - Not sure if you are doing this already, but I when I first had a go, I created a Domain, then Data Element, then once I had them ready, I created a table. But If you know what you want/need in your table you can create that straight away and when you type in your Data Elements, Double click and it takes you through to creating the D El and Domain, again double clicking once you type in the desired domain name. (Maybe im naive and this is how everyone does it anyway... in which case sorry for the long post about nothing! But the guy showing me wanted me to find out myself...

)
