Upload file from Presentation server

Hi All,

Is there a method to read or download file to presentation server in the back ground mode. I know this works for the application server onkly..is there any code or FM which allows us to do the same....thanks in advance

There are two ways to do it. One is via RFC's. There is a paper on the internet published by errrrmmm Rob somebody with his own RFC's in it which enable you to do it.

The other way is to write to the application server and then FTP the file to the pc.

However, the ball breaker in all this is quite simple....

How do you know that the PC is still turned on at the time you try to send the file ?

So, in other words, don't bother. You can't guarentee that the pc will be switched on.

Well, to know is the simplest thing in this case. ("ping").

Well, to know is the simplest thing in this case. ("ping").
Well, there we go. Not directly downloading, but you can transfer a file to a pc in the background!
