Operating system call recv failed (error no. 73 )

Postby SpeedPete » Wed Oct 22, 2003 11:07 am

Hello experts :?:

We have the following error in SM21:

Q0I Operating system call recv failed (error no. 73 )
Q04 Connection to user 1863 (KUIKR ), terminal 25 (xxxxxxx5 ) lost
Q04 Connection to user 2141 (OOSTERLW ), terminal 19 (xxxxxx5 ) lost
Q04 Connection to user 2156 (NIJKAMPF ), terminal 46 (xxxxxxx9 ) lost

We already have checked a lot of possible causes, e.g. a sniffer on the network, but without a result. The users are located in 10 centres and it happens only to 5-10 users at the same time and also at difference centres. The users are connecting to two application servers, one is a NT server and the other one is an AIX server. The big strange thing is that only users who are connected to the AIX server have this problem.

I am aware that there are already have been posted two messages of this kind of problem, but I do not have read about the AIX/NT problem.

So, does anybody have a clue where we must look for a solution?

i think its okay with this problem..

some causes

1) users log out by the parameter setting
2) users termiante the sapgui from windows administration
3) network terminates them

from the above, point 3 is what we need to check
The heart has its reasons which reason knows not of

Hello,

The parameters settings have been checked and are ok.
The SAPGUI is not terminated by the windows administration

So, to our opinion there must be a setting somewhere in the network that causes this problem. Some weeks ago, we had the problem with that Blaster virus. So far I know, this has been solved but could this problem still been caused by this virus?
