SAP on Suse Linux 7

Postby Guest » Sun Oct 20, 2002 11:24 pm

Hi gurus,

I'm instaling SAP 4.6c SR2 (Oracle 8.1.7) on Suse Linux 7. I hit an error ORA-3113 end of communication file when I want to install Oracle. I've checked all the SAP notes , yet still I can't solve my problem. Anybody has successfully installed SAP on Suse?? Any tips for me??

Tq.

please check your tnsnames file in
/oracle/<SID>/817_32/network/admin

it should looks like:

DVL.WORLD=
(DESCRIPTION =
(SDU = 32768)
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS =
(COMMUNITY = SAP.WORLD)
(PROTOCOL = TCP)
(HOST = mammoth)
(PORT = 1527)
)DVL.WORLD=
(DESCRIPTION =
(SDU = 32768)
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS =
(COMMUNITY = SAP.WORLD)
(PROTOCOL = TCP)
(HOST = mammoth)
(PORT = 1527)
)
)
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SID = DVL)
(GLOBAL_NAME = DVL.WORLD)
)
)

then try
tnsping DVL
from ora<sid> and <sid>adm

)
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SID = DVL)
(GLOBAL_NAME = DVL.WORLD)
)
)

Thanks dm. I've solved my problem. Actually, I just export the two_task in oracle environment:

export TWO_TASK=DEV; sqlplus SAPR3/SAP

It solved my problems.
