Is Oracle running? Did you change the oracle password?

Postby itsmeagain » Tue Oct 22, 2002 10:58 am

All the oracle services are running. I tried to test the connection via net8 assistant. Upon testing the Service naming, it says ORA-01034: ORACLE not available. How to resolve this issue.

Your help would be appreciated. I did not change any password.

[DbSl Trace: OCI-call 'olog' failed: rc = 12154

DbSl Trace: CONNECT failed with sql error '12154'

#(IMP) ERROR: couldn't connect to DB][/quote]

Thanks for your assistence again.

Bug of Oracle 8.0.*

Postby shenyonglian » Tue Oct 22, 2002 8:54 pm

Is your Oralce 8.0.*? If yes, there is bug for Oracle 8.0.* on Window 2K. If your R/3 Kernel is lower than 46c, the SAPOSCOL will also be troubled while starting. But You can manuly control it while installing R/3.
