Hi,
i have created a area CIFS share on the datastore DataDoamin with share path and user SapServiceSID. In InitSID.sap i have changed parameter :
backup_dev_type = disk
backup_root_dir = \\10.10.21.11\sapdev\
.....
I scheduled job with DB13:
BR0002I BRARCHIVE 7.00 (52)
BR0282E Directory '\\10.10.21.11\sapdev' not found
BR0182E Checking parameter/option 'archive_copy_dir' failed
If i set the share area on the server SAP local disk is OK.
AL11
haven't problem, see the area share and also with prompt dos command \\10.10.1.21\sapdev from server SAP
The environment is:
Windows server 2003 32bit
SAP ecc 6 Netweaver 700
Kernel 700 patch 331
I ask you if you can give me some guidance to solve the problem Thanks
Best Regards

Hi,
try to run brbackup from a command prompt. If this works from a command prompt, but not from a background job, this means that user SAPserviceSID is missing authorization to use this share.

you cannot use a network drive mapped to a drive letter.
Why? because mapping a drive letter is only accessible to the user who mapped it.
you must use a UNC.
