But it has some "nice" new features that are worth taking note of:

  • printer settings in windows (like tray decisions etc.) can now be permanently overwritten by SAPGui. Pretty sure, you don't need admin auths on Windows to do so. It works nicely and is a fucking nuisance.
  • there's this "SAPGui Installation Check" feature. And this time around, it actually works.
  • Branding is still via registry (ahahaha!)
I've been testing it for 9 days now and no crashes, no bugs, nothing. Not finished testing with Citrix Zen Client. Will keep you updated.

Update:

  • the "save" button on the Excel-Inplace function on ALV-lists is gray. Meaning - no saving to Excel is possible. I have an open OSS-incident on that one. Will keep you informed.
  • Deep level ALV leads to crashes - for example in ST03N. Dumps like hell. Another OSS incident on that one. Stay tuned ...

1. SAPGUi will now use XML files instead of SAPLOGON.ini file. This XML file will be read by other GUI clients such as NWBC. it can still read INI file as before.
2. it has new color schemes/themes which also changes the color of SAPLOGON.
3. color schemes can also be client dependant
