You can use SAPlink (a cooperative code project, easily found with google) to easily export/import ABAP code, functions, classes...
You could also grap the transport file of a transport request and import it in the other system, I think - I'll shadow this in Basis, where they would surely have more useful answers.

Well, yes, there is another option - copy and paste, or ask a Basis guy.

ABAP workbench objects are client independent. They will need to be created in DEV system first and then moved to QAS and PRD.

While ABAP code can be copied and pasted, other items cannot.

Please also note, copying and pasting ABAP code is not so simple. It might be refer to custom fields, tables and function modules.

Please involve a regular ABAP progammer.

Hello,

We are in a situation where there are objects being transferred both ways. Two companies, one bought the other, but R3 systems are still separate. Each group of users sees something interesting on other system.
So there are several ways to do this:
- SAPlink
- copy/paste
-download/upload (does not work for everything)
- transport orders

We use transport orders. This ensures there is a trace.
The objects first need to be imported to a sandbox to do the minimum necessary to make them function properly on new system.
Once validated, they are moved to development where any heavier adaptations are done.
We also need to decide who is master of application:
- source system: objects are not modified if possible. updates may come from source (like software of external publisher)
- destination system: objects and source code are put to local naming and coding conventions.

We are just at the beginning so this is a work in progress.
