Correction instructions...

Postby DrSidewalk » Mon Mar 04, 2013 11:17 am

I have applied note 765494 to our 4.7 system. However, in the SAP support portal there are correction instructions against the note with a Task/request number supplied. Does that mean that the corrections can somehow be downloaded and assigned directly to a transport?.

As you can tell I'm not a basis person so your advice would be welcome. The alternatives are that I would need to apply the corrections manually and there's lots of objects.

Snowy,

Thanks for the quick reply.

The 13 page note has already been applied (manually) as it could not be applied via SNOTE. Are you saying that correction instructions also have to be applied manually?. If so, why do they provide a task/request number when they display the correction instructions?.

Ah, it would seem that the task /request number is the number created with SAP's own system.

So, as Snowy says, I need to apply these corrections manually. I don't think there's any way of downloading the corrections via SNOTE.

There must be 30+ objects to change code against so it looks like a couple of hours work from 06:00 tomorrow morning. Doh!
