This certainly don't belong to the Education subforum, but I can't tell where to move it for lack of details.
Let's try Basis while we wait for more information...

Text files in Unix are created by an editor. ed, sed & vi. Use vi

Login at Unix level (using telnet or ssh)

pwd
/your/current/directory
vi tomato
<press i key>
tomatos are red
<press :wq>

cat tomato
rm tomato

hi,

fast text creation:

cat > tomato
... type the text you want to have in file
... it can contain several lines
... and red tomatos are red
... finish it with CTRL-D at the begin of the line
^D

and you have it.
rm tomato

well ... it depends ... the "echo Hello World!" level questions could be a bit annoying... and out of place on a SAP expert forum.

Let's give him the Rosetta Stone for Unix. Pick up the ball and run! Run strong. Best wishes.
