DB 13

we have an offline backup running for years , we are trying to change it to onilne backup

but we encountered this error

BR0052I BRBACKUP completed successfully
BR0280I BRBACKUP time stamp: 2012-10-29 13.55.41
BR0291I BRARCHIVE will be started with options '-U -jid ***************** -d disk -c force -p initE6*.sap-cds'
BR0280I BRBACKUP time stamp: 2012-10-29 13.55.41
BR0292I Execution of BRARCHIVE finished with return code 3
destination folder is in an FS /foldername/backupname

BTW system is AIX 7.X and Oracle 11g

Hello,

the online backup is successful.

is "initE6*.sap-cds" the name of the profile?

The "*" is replaces with file name only in command line.

actually its fine i just change it in here upon posting..

here's an update to error above is now OK by changing the parameter into -sd (function) BRARCHIVE

here another error upon doing OFFLINE /w REDO LOGS

just wana ask you guys opinion on this

Check permissions of your database directories and files. Also check permissions of brtools, brarchive etc.
