Hi everyone
I have an issue with the offline archive logs. I am running SAP on Oracle/AIX platform. I set the umask value to 002 in .login, .profile and .cshrc. I stll have the offline archive logs created in oraarch with permission 640, which causes the archive backup to fail when I run it with user <sid>adm. Any suggestion?

Don't worry about permissions of offline archive log files.
Do worry about permissions of BR*Tools.

Most important part is the s in -rwsrwxr-x

after setting the umask, you will need to restart Oracle with ORASID.
I would also set umask in .login, .profile and .cshrc of both user SIDamd and oraSID.
