Upgrade to Netweaver 7.0: Prepare ACTIVATION CHECK failed

Postby MistralLara » Wed Jun 09, 2010 6:24 am

Hello

BW 3.5 AIX 5.3 Db2 UDB 9.5

We are running STARTUP program and we have this error message during ACTIVATION CHECK

ERROR> Errors occurred during ACTIVATION CHECK
(batch job RSUPGRCHECK)
The contents of the summery error log file is as follows.
Details can be seen in the log file of the batch job:
RSUPGRCHECK.IBT

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ACTIVATION CHECK Errors and RETURN CODE in RSUPGRCHECK.IBT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~2EER7000 "Structure/Table /BIC/CAPB0000000295 is not active" " " " " " "2EER7000 "Activate Transfer Rules for InfoSource" "0CRM_BPSALESCL_ATTR
Source System RESCLNT200" " " " "
2EER7000 "Structure/Table /BIC/CAPC0000000298 is not active" " " " " " "2EER7000 "Activate Transfer Rules for InfoSource" "0CRM_BPSALESCL_ATTR
Source System ROSCLNT300" " " " "

Our system is a copy of our production system. We have deleted
RESCLNT200 and ROSCLNT300 RFC connections in order to avoid incorrect
loads in original system sources, and when you try to activate transfer
rules, we have this error message: No destination exists to source
system RESCLNT200 and ROSCLNT200.

How can we solve it? Prepare process is stopped and we cannot follow
with upgrade process for this reason.

How can we activate objects withouth these connections to external systems?

Can we indicate in some place or some file that this phase can be skipped?

Thanks in advanced
Cheers

have you run BDLS after system copy?

I am shadowing this in the BASIS forum.

Functional member team told us that it was not neccesary to run BDLS, because this system is only use as test system during upgrade preparation. And we have to isolate it in order to avoid conflicts or unwanted connection with real production environments

functional staff have no decisions to make on BDLS.

a workaround is to leave source systems as is, but change RFC destination hostname, system number, user and password.

Hi Snowy

When I do that, (change RFC and using copied system as source system destination) and try to change transference rules of Infosource, I have this error message:

No destination exists to source system RESCLNT200

Hello

At the end, functional team has done a workaround: has deleted all the inactive transfer rules and inactive objects... It is not the greatest solution, but this was a test system and I hope they solve this situation in a better way until the real upgrade process

Thanks for your support

Cheers
