A module specific applications server

We currently have 4 applications servers. We are an SD intensive shop but are running most of the other primary modules as well (FI/CO,MM,WM,SM and PP). We have already changed our apps server landscape to make one of the servers primarily a background job processing server, instead of having background processing on each apps server. This appears to have helped improve the response time of our interactive users. We are now considering making one of the 3 remaining apps servers into a SD specific server. We have heard that we may be able to more specifically tune this server to be optimized for SD users. Anyone have any experience in this area, including making any of your servers specifically tuned for one module? Note - we are running on 4.6c, M/S W2K - M/S SQL, and all apps servers are almost identical similar (4 cpu's and 2GB).

Put the server in a Logon group and only allow SD users to logon to this logon group.

This means that only programs run by the SD users will get put into the program buffer. Also only SD tables will be buffered. The tune it from there.
