Hi,

Try SPAD...

the nearest i could think of is the printer host name. so that leaves

1) whether u are on dns
2) /etc/hosts file
The heart has its reasons which reason knows not of

Use AL11 to look at the /etc/hosts file, if you have one.

If not, have you tried the export devices option from SPAD?
Its under the Utilities dropdown menu.

It creates a txt file on your server or frontend, depending on where you specify, with all the details of the printers in your system.

Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine!!

SE16 > give table name as TSP03D > Display contents > Column "Host printer" (tech. field name "PAPROSNAME") gives you all printers and their hosts.

Thanks all for your replies. I found them very helpful.
My guess is it is not possible to extract the ip address from the SAP system. I have solution to all else except the IP.
I was hoping to speed up the process here by cutting out the unix team.

Thanks guys.
