PA40 Natl.ins.no. Mandatory?

Post by Stuart » Thu Nov 15, 2012 11:15 am

Hello All

I am in the UK and upgrading from 4.6 to ECC 6.0. We have been testing PA40 and previously a temporary National Insurance Number code be generated by enter * in the field if the number was not know.

This cannot be done now and we receive an error message say Temporary NU Number cannot be generated due to legislative rules....

It goes on to say that it can be left blank
"If the employee does not know their NINO then you must leave this field unfilled. However, you must fill the fields Birth date and Gender."

However even with this filled in it still says it is a required field.
Any ideas how to make it non mandatory?

Thanks very much.

WHat kind of licence with SAP would prevent you from doing configuration changes to customise your own system?
Would you be able to please give us a condensed version of the story? My interest is piqued.
