Function LPBEG/LPEND

Postby b123rich » Tue May 29, 2012 1:22 pm

Hello,
I am trying to get a better understanding of the use for function LPBEG (and LPEND). I have a specific scenario when I have an additional payment (IT0015) amount greater than .. lets say 80,000 ... it creates a second interation in the payroll schema (i.e. Run1 and Run2). This second iteration is placing amounts in table DDNTK, causing me some grief. The SAP documentation is not exactly helpful on this function. Can anyone explain the intended use of LPBEG?

Thanks
B~

LPBEG and LPEND is basically used by the system for payroll runs. From what you are saying, you shoud be having a deduction wage type set up in IT 0015 and this WT will exist in the "Deduction" configurations of IMG. You can specify 10 different values in the "Priority of deductions" config under "Deduction" in IMG to do whatever you want it to do. If nothing works, remove this wage type and it will not have a second run

Thanks hrboss,
I will play around with those 10 different values to get a better understanding.
