PA40 and TPMM transaction

Postby mss0923 » Fri May 25, 2012 7:55 am

Hello Experts,

Kindly provide inputs on the difference between PA40 and TPMM. We are trying to set up employees as vendors and the information we need can be found in transaction PA40. However, we are unable to generate a standard report containing the list of each employee, address and all the bank details assigned to each employee. We were advise to create a query or ad hoc report in order to generate a report containing all these details. We may have a report containing these information but we will need to create master data in TPMM one by one?

Is there anyway of transferring data between PA40 and TPMM or uploading data directly into TPMM from Excel so that we dont have to create employee master data one by one?

Please advise. thank you very much.

Employees can be set up as vendors with all required details pulled through from HR, by using standard transcation PRAA.

Hope this helps.

hello rangachary, hello everyone,

In our new implemented process we should create employee master data hrough transaction TPMM then create vendor master data through PRAA. DO we need to enter employee details in TPMM one by one or can we proceed with vendor creation in PRAA with our employee master data entered in PA40? If not, is there a way to transfer the employee details we entered in PA40 to TPMM in bulk/mass so that we do not have to create employee master data one by one in TPMM?

Thank you vry much.

It looks like TPMM is just another version of PA40. To be honest, I have never needed to use TPMM ever in several years of SAP HR implementations. At the end of the day, data needs to be inside PAnnnn tables. If HR master Data already exists created by PA40, PRAA should be able to use that data to create Vendor records.
