I would like to know whether it is possible for SAP to maintain work schedule easily with the following factors in consideration.
- Alternative Saturday
- Public Holiday
I am using a bi-weekly Period work schedule (PWS) where one of the Saturday will be a day off. However, this PWS is not public holiday aware.
After some research and guessing, there seems to have at least two resolutions.
Option A - Create a PWS on yearly basis
Instead of bi-weekly PWS, the PWS will cover the whole year. That means I need to create around 52 weeks inside that PWS. It means a lot of work.
Option B - Maintain info type 0007 to switch Work Schedule Rule (WSR)
This option will keep using the bi-weekly PWS where one has short week on first period while the other has short week on second period. Then, I need to change the WSR assignment inside info type 0007 in case of public holiday happening on Saturday. It also means a lot of work even though we only have around 100 employees.
Can anyone suggest easier method to solve this problem? Thanks a lot!
