work schedule

Postby majids71 » Mon Feb 13, 2012 2:12 am

Hi,

I am working for an International payroll in Middle East and have a requirement on the work schedule.

Have configured it but during the month of Ramadan the working hours are reduced to 6 hours. One option is to have a new work schedule but that will need to be changed every year, which I believe is not right.

Can the experts help me out on how to resolve this requirment without changing the work schedule in Infotype 0007.

Thanks & regards

Hi, Is Ramadan the same month every year? (Sorry, I dont know).

Are you using time evaluation?
You may be able to control this via date logic using constants.

More information is needed to assist.

Easy - use PT02 to change the DWS as required.

Hi,

Its not the same every year. It does change with 10-12 days of differnece in each other.

Yes its a negative time evaluation we are using.

Its 6 hours during Ramadan month. Anything above 6 hours is considered overtime, which is uploaded into 2010.

Thanks & regards,

Create a constant in T511K called maybe ZRAM6 and then use the date logic to determine if Ramadan is active. Example Active = 1 (Auq1 - Aug31) and NOT Active = 0 (Sep1 - July31) ... then you can create the schedule out a few years or update the constant table every year.

Once this is set you can do some clever things in time evaluation to treat the day (i.e. daily work schedule) different.

Not sure whether this functionality is still active but I think we need to use IT 0049 for these purposes.

If the P0049 function is not in the time schema, then we need to include it.
