PE51 - Display of data from PENS table

Post by Sleepyjoe » Tue Mar 04, 2008 8:42 am

Hi,

We have been asked to show the pension deduction percentage on payslips and I thought this would be a simple configuration in PE51. However, having failed to get anything other than 0.000 to show, I tried other fields to see what would happen but no matter which field I try to show from PENS, I either get 0.000 or blank. Am I missing something obvious, please?

Thanks for the tip but the table plus the fields I require are showing as available - the problem is that none of them will display any values, eg for PENS-PCTEE where I can see 6.500 in the results I get 0.000 in the form.

next step is to check the code of the payslip generating program to ensure that the pens table is included in there, otherwise it wont get picked up even if its available in CHECKTAB again there is already a posting on where to look to check this.
good luck

Thanks for the recent replies which I will look into further in case of future problems but I finally found my own answer after reading through 102 SAPNotes returned by search term PENS! Note 599029 explains how PENS and COURT entries have to be displayed in a window on the payslip. Shame the note doesn't mention PE51 in the search tags, especially as it specifically explains how PE51 should be used. Also a shame that SAP Global Support didn't find it either.

Still, mustn't grumble; payslip working now, customer happy.............
