Hi

Can someone help me in giving a genric description of Interfacing Time Recording Machine with SAP.

Hi Laka,
Of course the best thing is if u have a time recording machine registered by SAP. U can find a list of it in SAP lab site. But anyway u can use almost any machine. There are 2 possible way (maybe there are more) to transport time events from the machine to SAP. The first one (but not the recomended one in my opinion) is by using transaction PU12. I tried it once but it's very complecated. I recomend to colect the time events by creating a stream file with the data from the machine. Transporting the file file to SAP machine (depends on sap platform), and writing a batch input frogram that writes the data to file TEVEN in sap. Of course the batch input sould simulate manuale entry of time event to sap.
