Tax Balance Sheet Depreciation

Post by FANNYKWAN » Mon Sep 15, 2003 3:43 am

Hi Sapfans experts,

I am confused about Asset Depreciation in SAP R/3. Let me take an example for my easy explaination. Ex. Yearly Asset Depreciation is
US$ 18.0299. So,monthly depreciation is US$ 1.50249. If we round it into 4 decimals, the system will automatically post US$ 1.5025. However, the system does not post US$ 1.5025 every month. Sometimes, it posts US$ 1.5024 for few times. This is pushed like that to make the yearly depreciation to be US$ 18.0299. I can't find out "HOW" the system post it. How can the system know when to post US 1.5025, and when to post US$ 1.5024. Can anybodyelse suggest me how it works? I would like to make a program to calculate the monthly depreciation for Tax Balance Sheet Depreciation, which does not supply by SAP. This really impacts to the program though.

Thanks in advance.

Fanny

you can send a message to sap and they will be able to explain to u in detail how the program works ... basically the program will do the rounding base on the program parameter. we are not developer and thus cannot tell u exactly how it works. your question is not hard but u have ask in the wrong place.
