Foreign currency postings: adjustment for local curr balance

Post by carezza » Fri Nov 23, 2007 6:13 pm

Hello to all.
I am posting a document in USD.
Let's assume that I don't specify the conversion ratein document header, but specify both amounts for each line item.

E.g.

Line 1 USD 1000 EUR 1500,00
Line 2 USD 1000 EUR 1500,01

If I simulate the document, then the system automatically corrects the document, so that the document can be posted:
Line 1 USD 1000 EUR 1500,01
Line 2 USD 1000 EUR 1500,01

The system does it when the balance in local currency does not amount to more currency units than the document has line items.

Does anybody know it there is any customizing table to deactivate this function? I need that if the document has a balance, it cannot be posted at all.

Thanks to everybody.

P.s. If the balance in document currency is more than the number of line items in the document, I get the message F5 061

"For postings in foreign currency, it is possible that the balance in
foreign currency is zero, but not in local currency. Providing the
balance in local currency does not amount to more currency units than
the document has line items, the system adjusts the amounts
automatically. If an automatic adjustment is not possible, the amounts
must be adjusted manually in local currency."

Suggest to use F.05
