Int. Orders: Varying Settlement Rule by Status

Hello Folks,

I was hoping someone out there has had experience with this particular issue:

If you have IOs that initially settle to an AUCs, but at a certain time (say according to a status..) change to being a pure expense IO; is there a way to configure the system such that the settlement rule is tied to a status (either system or user)?
