Hi SAP gurus,
In KP26 we see a rate of for example 70 eur. However in the material cost estimate with quantity structure, when looking at the itemization view, we see a resource for the same cost center/activitype. An amount is shown there, with a certain number of minutes. When calculating this into an hourly rate, a rate of for example 80 eur appears. My question is: why is this not equal?
Kind regards, Huubtim

Do you have a different CO area currency? If so, check your planner profile as to whether you actually entered the KP26 activity rates in local currency or in the CO area currency - it's a fairly common mistake to make.

Hi Buggsy,
Thanks for your reply. There is only 1 controlling area, therefore this is not the case. I figures out part of the problem. In the work center there is a formula, which is rate * (opeartion quantity/base quantity). I know where the base quantity is stored, however i can not find the operation quantity? Anyone knows where to find this?
Greetings, Huubtim

The operation quantity is usually the quantity that is being produced on the production order.
You can test the formula calculation iteself in the work centre - using the Check Formula icon.

Are you viewing the rate in KP26 as of the costing date of the cost estimate? Could the rate have been changed after cost estimate creation?
Good luck!

@sharpshooter: I checked costing date: the date matches.
@buggsy: the difference appears in the material cost estimate, hence no production order is involved. In the material cost estimate i can only see the base quantity, but not the operation quantity.
Any knows were operation quantity is stored???

Even though the date matches, a user could have changed the rate in KP26 after the cost estimate was created.
Good luck!
