V5 GMBH Switzerland

Post by Rich » Tue Sep 18, 2012 3:29 am

Are you using V5 GMBH as your payroll company in Switzerland ?

It appears that they have gone tits up. I received an email last night from Central.lv (who have apparently taken over invoicing etc for V5 in the last 3 months or so) that Central are no longer providing any invoicing or collection services. This means (for me personally) that Augusts payment is in doubt and I have no company (at the moment) to submit my timesheets to.

If you have not been notified of anything by either V5 or Central, I suggest you contact Central as soon as possible and get your own personal situation clarified.
Regards

Rich

Hi Rich,

I found me in the same situation as you with V5 and switched tio another payroller. Have you managed to recover your payments for August from V5?

Hi Berend,

I am in the process of getting my monies back. I have got all of September, August is taking a while longer. My Agency contacted my client and has explained the situation. Luckily for me, I realised what was happening and was in my notice period for resigning V5, but it still caught me on the back foot, although I had persuaded my client to block the August and September payments to V5, it still left me with a problem as there was no direct contract that enabled my client to either pay me directly or via the agency that placed me here.

However, the agency has worked with my client to dissolve the contract between them and V5, creating a new contract that allows them to re-invoice my client for August and September which they have done, along with placing me with a new payroll company.

It's a bit hard for me to advise you what to do, but the first place I would go if your client is big enough is to their legal dept to see if they can give you some advice.

I hope you get your money back.
Regards

Rich

Rich

I hope it isn't so bad that you may have to pay some tax on your earnings :)

Seany!!!

As if I wouldn't!

Being serious, because I travel home each weekend, I'm out of Switzerland more than 90 days per year which means I'm not eligable for the ex-pat tax free thingy.
