Re: Assigning Maintenance Packages to Inspection Plan

Have you remembered to change working area ? At least if you're using standard there are two areas, one for the header where you maintain strategy and one for the operation where you maintain Maintenance packages. Haven't checked, but I also seem to remember that I had some trouble maintaining packa...

Variable limits

Hi I've got the following scenario for in process control with insp. points : For each insp.point the amount of salt is measured in the product. Then more salt is added and the new amount is measured. Sounds easy, but then they want the target for the 'after' to be 'before' + 0,8 with limits +/- 0,5...

Re: Different Certificates for one material

Hi Make sure your existing 4 characteristics CoA profile is assigned to the material. (I guess that's what you've done) Create a new CoA profile containing all 5 characteristics. Then you assign that profile to the material/customer combination. Whenever printing a CoA the system will then start by ...

Re: Double limits

Hi Craig. No, I haven't concidered it but that is becuse I haven't been working that much with IPC and inspection points. There's still quite at lot in that area I don't know much about, and I didn't think this issue was unique for my company, thus I assumed it might be a 'standard' way of handling ...

Double limits

Hi We're running ECC 6.0, and I think it's EHP 3. I've got the following scenario : We have continous production and passive release of goods, thus we're only using insp.type 03 with inspection points, posting directly to unrestriced, not using insp.type 04. During the production we're checking the ...

Re: Material specification & inspection plan/task list

Hi I'm handling all 3 different solutions for my customers.( Mat.spec, Insp.plan & Mat.spec+Insp.plan) Which solution you want will depend on your business needs. Mat.spec If you're using only Mat.spec the insp.lot will be the same wherever and whenever you do your inspection. It's an easy and simpl...

Got confirmed that it was a BADI. He didn't remember which one, but if we're correct it was a note describing it.

Re: Copy standard notification QS - problem with screen area

Hi I've had the same problem myself. It was quite iritating. I think you might find that it'll be more that's not easily copied. :( Don't remember excactly, but I needed help from my ABAP'er. I think it was something about copying some program. Don't remember but I think it was a BADI. I'll try to c...

Re: Workflow WS00200063 is not triggered at the task level

I got it working without any problem. Have you checked in transaction SWIA to see if it's actually triggered ? It could be that it's getting triggered, but that something goes wrong thus it goes into Error and the responsible won't get the work item. Also you could add the event 'Released' for the W...

Re: Valuation of MIC - Insp.point vs UD

Hi Craig. I checked in the system : - Sampling procedure uses Valuation mode 700 (Mean value within tolerance range) - Valuation mode 700 referes to Valuation rule 70 (Mean value within tolerance range) - Valuation rule 70 contains FM QEBR_MEAN_VALUE_TOLERANCE_INSP. Thus it seems like I'm using the ...

Re: Valuation of MIC - Insp.point vs UD

Hi Seems like I haven't explained myself as clear as I thought. Same old error : You're so into your own scenario that you forget that everybody else isn't...... :) I can confirm cofig values : "No. insp. points for char. summariz" = 0 "Last inspected sample is valid" - Not selected. I get the 4.0 f...

Re: Valuation of MIC - Insp.point vs UD

Hi Craig The "No. of Inspection Points for Characteristic Summarization" is 0. According to the explanation : 0 = All sample results are used in the characteristic valuation. If I enter 5 here I'd only get the last 5 samples are transferred to the characteristic valuation. The MIC is 'Single result'...

Valuation of MIC - Insp.point vs UD - Solved

Hi My scenario is as follows. We're doing In Process Controll, using 03-lots. During production at given intervals five units are removed and the weight is controlled. The requirement is that the average during the days production must be above a given minimum. The way we did it was to use 'Free ins...
