Re: quality certificate in QC20 issue

How is your batch management, is it on plant level or material level ? It should be on material level. The standard SAP way of handling this is to make sure the results are on the batch and get the results from the batch, not the inspection lot. That requires Class characteristics and referenced MIC...

Re: Decimal Place in inspection result

You're not supposed to enter the result in the 'inspected' field. It's for the "Number of Inspected Sample Units"

The result should be in the Result Field.

Re: Decimal Place in inspection result

I would definately start by checking the UoM. If it doesn't allow decimals I don't think it matters what you put in Your MIC or task list.

Problem with CLMM

Hi We've got batch management at material level and batch status activated. Lately there's been a problem with people picking batches in restricted use for sale, which we don't want. We thought to solve it by adding characteristic LOBM_ZUSTD to both the batch class and the batch search strategy. Wha...

Re: Valuate the non-valuated QM characteristics manually?

It doesn't, because as I said, I've got this other custome using only Mat.spec and there none of the MIC's are required. All are optional, but I still get the message.

Re: Valuate the non-valuated QM characteristics manually?

It's during UD and only if I'm using referenced MICs. The class characteristics are NOT required, only the MICs. The missing result in the MIC should be taken care of by actually confirming that I want to do a 'Force UD'. I've also seen it at another customer where we're only using mat.spec and no i...

Re: Sub contracting PO, Unable to move QI stock

Hi I think the general thinking is that as long as it's not in your stock you can't have stock relevant inspection. You could take a look at this post and see if it helps : http://www.sapfans.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=332843&hilit=stock+subcontracting at least it might give some ideas. Unfortu...

Valuate the non-valuated QM characteristics manually?

Hi We're using both task list and mat.spec in our inspection setup. What we observe is that is not all referenced MIC's have results we get a pop-up when doing UD saying 'Valuate the non-valuated QM characteristics manually?' and then we have to choose Yes / No. It's a bit annoying, especially since...

Re: Making a test mandatory on the inspection Plan

Yes, but you need to force completion.
Never looked at it, but you might look at removing the posibility in the authorizations.

Re: Making a test mandatory on the inspection Plan

In the control parameters for the MIC you set the mandatory test as 'Required char'. The others can be 'Optional' (unless you want to have DRM for them then they have to be required as well).

Re: Auto UD

Given that the 'Auto UD' is ticked in the insp.setup in the material master I can't see why not.

As long at the insp.lot meets the search criterias for the batch job it should work.

I haven't been working with defects, but at least for qualitative MIC you define the defect class in the selected set.

Target value in RR Char overview

Hi We're doing som IPC where we want the target value to be visible during Result recording. This is to make production more focused on reaching the target and not only being within limits. If I go to the detailes selection where I only see one MIC at the time the target is visible along with the li...
