Hello, So you have checked OMEC and found no 'T' or no entries at all for your Doc type 'GPO'? This is where u define what item categories are allowed for a given PO Doc type. For example, you might only allow item cat 'K', 'L' and 'S' for Stockable and chargeable NB POs, and create a 'NC' for Non-s...

The table is from Spro --> MM --> Purchasing --> Define Extrenal Representation of Item Categories (tranx : OMH4). You problem, however, should be due to the way you created your PO Doc Type. Did you use "new entries" instead of "copy from"? Or maybe you copied from an existing Doc type that does no...

Hello, The default is set to 1 (and corrected to 1 if you change to zero) because it is most logical. For example, the material price is 1.435 USD per PC. This happens a lot for electronic parts, and your client wants the prices in 3 decimal places. As u know, sap keeps prices in 2 dec places only, ...

Hello, Nothing you can do at config level. But for "permanent" barring of GR for materials with DCI, you can use user exit. Before you do that, you might want to consider the impact, your business requirement as well as exception scenarios. For eg., this case might be special for your particular mat...

Hi Amitavam, FYI, SAP no longer advocates using business area. They recommend PCA now, so if this is an implementation, you should relook your proposal/strategy. the mumbo jumbo for biz area is : Organizational unit of financial accounting that represents a separate area of operations or responsibil...

Hello katelbs, A few things. 1) No, there is no free goods indicator in IR, unless you workaround it by having another indication, but what is better than having a zero price? 2) Yes, it is possible to have zero price in your info record, as long as you allow it at conifg level by setting the Net Pr...

Right on. So what you do depends on your preference and project cycle. If you have not yet gone live, and all of most of the materials is of a certain industry, then use the parameter option during user maintenance. If you have gone live, and then follow svetja's suggestion and maintain in mm01 for ...

Hi guys, To tikkas, i think your problem runs deeper than using ME21N, ME21 or which tool to use. Anyway, you should use ME21, and as i have never like to use recording, i did not face your problem. Using bdc call transaction, i uploaded open Pos from 1 sap system to another. before going into detai...

Hello,

Goto your user profile, own data (tranx SU3), click on [Parameters] tab, place MTP under parameter and your desired industry code, say M (for Mech/engr) in values and save.

You should see your default in mm01.

Cheers

Hi Henry, How about defining a second plant, and you link Warehouse A to first and W/H B to second plant. Advantage is same material can be used, but different map tracked. Quite a number of disadvantages though, e.g. new w/h --> new plants if different prices to be tracked? Most important question ...

Hello, When you say this works for PO only, you mean you can see the price for consignment PO, i.e. item category 'K'? Assuming no change to standard code, there are at least 2 user exits involved. You can start by looking into ZXM06U43 in EXIT_SAPMM06E_012 and ZXM06U41 in EXIT_SAPMM06E_016 within e...

Hello Just to clarify. I do not mean that the price in PO with item cat 'K' can be opened. In fact, both Carol and Ha Tran is right and we should not be messing around with standard functionality. What I meant is: although the price is still grey off and no price can be captured, in sending out the ...

Hello, If your objective is for reporting purposes, then take Ha Trans suggestion. If your objective is to have an indicative price sent to your vendor, then you can try to workaround this "issue" by asking your programmer to amend the sapscript or idoc to retrieve the price from info record plus so...
