Re: Performance Tuning - The better approach

Dr Sidewalk, I haven't seen that talked about before. Do you know of some good documentation?

Re: Database models

Go for it! Sounds like a wonderful project that everyone will benefit from. I think that the answer that you'll find is that no one is willing to pay us to do it and we already have too much work as it is. If I become unemployed again (God forbid) maybe I'll help you.

Another option could be to create a view. Then the person can't see any data that you don't want them to.

Re: Not printing Last line

Sounds like a buffer issue. Can you find the buffer control (i don't know what to call it, maybe parameter. Like sending a printer reset at the end of the document) and see if there is some additional control function you could send it.

Re: Total Number of Pages

In this case, you'd have to stop using the copy function and reissue the pages.

Re: Tray in Smartforms

It might be reading it too late. I'm not very good with smart forms. I've only done a few. If it were SAPScript I'd know exactly where to look. Where do you specify it in the smartform?

It's really a basis question, and my basis is old and minimal, but is SWIN the best you can do? Have you searched the Epsom site for a better device driver?

Anyway, What this means is if Fish says it, you better put money in it. I've got some friends who have worked with him and would bet their lives on him.

FISH! 16! That would put you way back into 2.0. What I wouldn't give to trade notes with you. I only go back to 3.0C.

Re: Reverse engineer registration key

I would suspect that the point would be that if you dropped your contract with SAP, that you could then still modify your code. More exactly, If you can know the registry key for one object, then you can know the key for all of them. And I would expect that to get this topic locked.

Re: Change initial password to permanent

I'd have to admit that I don't think its a bug. SAP really doesn't want you doing this. Anyway, It sounds like they've changed the logic in 6.0. If they have, you're probably down to playing in someone else's pool.

Re: How to start transaction with param?

I don't know of a way (in standard SAP) to click a button without calling BDC functiuons. There's lots easily available on this concept, so I'll say no more. On a tangent, why waist your time writing this. Test the concept with something of practical use. I can't imagine ever wanting to remote SE11 ...
