Are you using SAP version 4.7? Is your system truly unicode? If not you could remove the unicode check on your program attributes.

I am trying replace the statement:

TRANSLATE DATA FROM CODE PAGE '0500' TO CODE PAGE '1151'.

where DATA is a character field, and I am having no luck either.

VOFM, V/08 then what??

Hi All, I am using VOFM etc for the first time. It looks to me as though everything is in place but something still is missing. 1. I defined and activated a formula using VOFM. 2. I assigned the formula using V/08. I ran my transaction (VKP5) in debug but my routine is not being executed. Is there s...

SELECT SINGLE does not. i.e. SELECT SINGLE * FROM MARA WHERE cond... IF SY-SUBRC = 0. WRITE: "GOT ONE". ENDIF. So not much difference when s...

Hex values in SAP 4.7 unicode

Hi All, I am checking for when a character string contains a hex value. Ideally: DATA: HEX VALUE '0D'. DATA: CHARSTRING(60). DATA: FIELD1(60), FIELD2(60). SPLIT CHARSTRING AT HEX INTO FIELD1 FIELD2. This seems to no longer be possible in 4.7 due to the unicode restrictions. I've spent a day banging ...

What does an IDOC do?

I've got to go through a number of inbound IDOC interfaces and write a one-liner on what each of them does (e.g. create delivery or post goods issue or whatever). I thought this would be easy but the only way I can see to do this is to go to WE64, look at the description (eg DESADV="Delivery:Shippin...
