Re: The bloody Documentation

I think that post should be allowed for this reason and this reason only. If you want to know more, let me know here or in private. Martin Martin is using the subject of SAP documentation as a cover to proposition other forum members for sex. A brief scan of the forum rules reveals that this is not ...

Re: Making the case for the Dark Side

Craig's last point about doing stuff outside SAP. That's the key. I've got nothing going on. No hobbies. I devote as much of my weekend as possible to The Lovely Mrs Bear. No time for developing interests. If I retired tomorrow I'd be bored within a week, dead inside a year. Finding hobbies is going...

Re: Making the case for the Dark Side

Annoyingly there's not really anything to disagree with in Craig's post. Retirement provision is a definite concern, even as a contractor. Goodness knows what I am letting myself in for in this regard by going permanent. I agree that making friends at 50+ is a much tougher gig than when in one's twe...

Making the case for the Dark Side

I was 24 when I first encountered contractors. The principle of contracting had to be explained to me by one of the dozen or so freelancers in my office. They seemed largely happier than the rest of us. Ok, there was one who moaned about his accountant, and another – incidentally the first Jew I’d e...

Re: Gotta run

It is weird here. Like one of those American post-gold rush ghost towns you can wander around thinking "Wow. This is how people used to live".

Re: Coffee Culture in the UK.

You can't have it both ways, Doctor Sidewalk. You can't complain about being asked if you want milk in your Americano yet persist in being an obsessive patron of Costa.

Indeedy.

I'd just this minute seen another post querying deleted posts, together with your reply. So I had come back here to edit but you were too quick.

Quick and clever.... :D

Re: Bloody Cheek!

Has anyone else ever thought "I can perhaps trust agent X. He seems difference from the others"? Never do it. Not ever. I did this very recently with an agent I liked from (ooh, let's call them PINK KOMMERSE) and he did all he could to steal my new contract from beneath me even though contracts had ...

Re: Is there anybody out there?

There must be someone out there because a topic I posted in the ABAP forum has vanished.

I suppose this is a more passive way of the mods calling me an idiot.

I remember an agent asking if I had any experience in RPG eleven.

Re: Retainer Contract

I live in a silly place so was overjoyed to land a project relatively nearby. Sadly the project got canned soon after. However on my final day I was approached by the PM and invited to do a chunk of work in the near future. They weren't entirely sure of the start date. Requirements weren't finalised...

Yesterday, I'm almost too embarrassed to mention, for the first time ever I encountered the AS clause.

It's all I ever wanted. :D

Re: Change Pointer Oddity on Z* Table [RESOLVED]

A big thank you to this gentleman.

The answer lay in the need to define an extra row in the change pointer table TBD62 via transaction BD52 with the fieldname = 'KEY'.

Change Pointer Oddity on Z* Table [RESOLVED]

I wish to log changes made to a Z* table so they are stored on table BDCP2. Changes to the table are already being logged on CDHDR/CDPOS. I followed these steps. 1. Add the Z* table fields to my change documents message type via transaction BD52. 2. Tested the Z program (which calls the following fu...

Re: Patio brick cleaning

We had a similar experience (oh, the shame of a dirty driveway). I got my old Bosch powerwasher out but it took us frigging AGES because we didn't have a suitable attachment. It's like trying to take out an entire army with a sniper rifle. My woman had to put her sunglasses on because the earth and ...
