Re: Is Sapfans being kept alive by "Can You Count"

Short answer: YES. Long answer: questions have dropped off tremendously. Can be a week between questions on the QM forum. (last new question was Jun 13). But I've also noted a big drop at SCN as well. Maybe only 3-5 new questions a day. I'm hoping this is because the past few years have shaken out a...

Re: Is the new SCN (formerly SDN) as bulky as it seems?

It could be both a combination of your systems and their site. Yes. I think their site is much slower and takes more time than before. It also does not play well with older systems, browsers or operating systems. I stopped using it entirely because my client's PC they had me using had an older Windo...

Re: Do you have a name for your car?

No names for the ones I have now. Waaaayyyy back in the 70's though my friends started referring to my car as "The Tuna Boat". It was the time of CB's and I was in the fire company. So I had a half-wave CB antenna, a fire scanner antenna and of course the regular radio antenna all on the back of a 4...

Re: Is the new SCN (formerly SDN) as bulky as it seems?

Nah.. he'd still be bronze probably. You only get points if the OP awards them. Takes about ten posts to find someone appreciative enough to go through all that trouble to do a click to acknowledge your contribution. So with 5000 posts he'd probably only have about 1000 points at most. He'd only be ...

Re: Disable attachment through GOSS to Tasks

Whats GOSS?

Attaching a file as a service object MIGHT be able to be controlled by security. But otherwise, I don't think you can control it. Maybe you can speak with a developer about modifying available menu choices.

Re: Results recording via QM IDI Interface

Check the field QALS-OFFENNLZMK before and after your interface records the result. My feeling is that this field is not being decremented by your interface. When you unlock and relock the characteristic manually SAP updates the field correctly. This field is the field checked prior to the UD. I don...

Re: User settings on QE51N

You can't. It's a user setting.

The only way to do so would be to ask a security person if there is a related security object that can be disabled.

Re: Calculated characteristics - formulas?

No. I don't think you'll be able to do this using the available functions.

You can create your own however. Create a FM and than assign it to ZO.

Your formula would than be ZO0100

ZO would than have to figure out the characteristics to use, look up all the data and return the result.

Re: Combining characteristics in one group and group counter

Basically you don't.

You have two different inspection requirements so you should have two different plans.

It's in the operation overview screen of the inspection plan. You have to scroll down to find it.

Nope,

SAP is not retroactive. It only lives in the moment. :-)

I think you got this resolved already via SDN.

Re: DMR

In most cases we have one 04 inspection lot per process order. (but not always). So your idea would work.

You can use a user exit with your own custom logic to suppress the creation of the lot if you want. I think they are the QAT* user exits that you can look at for that.

Re: Blocked Stock

I've seen reports based on the "reason for movement" code but his isn't always exactly accurate. It is fairly accurate if you are batch managed as USUALLY, you don't have a batch in blocked stock for more than one reason.

Re: Results Recording In Sequence

Interesting.

I might actually consider submitting that to SAP and see what they say. It would make sense for it to work.
