Re: Laptops and Smartphones banned in Florida!!!

It's totally out of control. It's driven by the media and our intouch with everything and everybody world. During the school year it's funny to see all the family SUV's and mini-vans parked at the corner to pick up their kids off the school bus. And its only ONE block to their homes for these kids!!...

Re: Laptops and Smartphones banned in Florida!!!

Vic, I don't have a gun. I don't hunt. But I don't believe banning guns resolves the basic issues. Especially of stupidity. Banning guns is like banning drugs or prostitution. Yes.. we have too many guns in the US. But the bigger underlying issue is why people feel the need for a gun. Also, most of ...

Re: Laptops and Smartphones banned in Florida!!!

Please Baz, Rodney King was almost 22 years ago. And it was after a high speed chase and involved the cops during the apprehension. Not quite the same thing. I saw the video. It wasn't started until much later during the incident and after he was tasered twice. They want to make Rodney a hero. Yes, ...

Re: Laptops and Smartphones banned in Florida!!!

The prosecutors reached for a charge that wasn't possible in this instance. They should have included manslaughter in the charges and they would have had a chance. Don't be surprised if they attempt a prosecution on the lessor charges. (I don't think double jeopardy applies if the charges are differ...

Re: Setting up a label to print out at insp lot creation

Assign an MRP planner group in the inspection plan header. You can than configure the printouts by MRP planner groups.

I doubt if the planners for your 04 plans will be the same as for the 01's.

Re: Laptops and Smartphones banned in Florida!!!

Trust me Rich, They do it all the time in the US. I wish the President would just stay the hell home. Once when Bush was President, he was going into center city Philly for an evening political fund raiser for someone. He flew into Philly airport and took a motorcade into center city. They shut down...

Re: Rates

In the last few years the move in the US had been towards an all inclusive rate. I do think that has tapered off a bit though. I think a lot of it was triggered by the rise in gasoline (petrol) prices. Some clients found that the expense budget went up a lot when airlines drastically raised fares an...

Re: Rates

I use to offer a discount off my regular fee if I was remote from home. But I think you might have a good idea. You start with offering your "standard rate" and offer on-site service at say a 20% premium plus expenses. If they want the infamous "all-inclusive rate" you make it a 50% premium, or what...

Re: Default for Inspection Point Completion

I don't think you can default in a value. You can make the field required I believe and have this influenced by the task type and usage. See in config: Quality Planning-->Inspection Planning-->General-->Define Field Selection The other alternative is to create a template plan. Than use this as a cop...

Did you implement the user exits required?

Please refer to these SAP release notes (pages 3-6) in which the set up is described.

Re: recording configuration for qm

Parameter ID's are special, often 3 character ID's that directly relate to a field. If I field has a PID you can find it by going to F1 help for the field and then clicking on the "gears" icon button for the technical info. Not all fields have them. These the PID's for a user are found in their "OWN...
