Re: Batch Information Cockpit

Craig, I was trying to do that but nothing so far. What's strange as that when I put in the class name in the selection criteria it brings up all of characteristics in the class as it should. But when I run the selection the list doesn't contain all of the characteristics. It's findng all the batche...

Batch Information Cockpit

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about my problem. I was trying to look up some batch values on multiple batches through the batch cockpit and got some strange results. When I put in the material and selection criteria I get the correct batches and I see all the results (well not all) and that ...

Re: Interfacing with Test Equipments

I'm not an expert but for any of those pieces of equipment that do are not SAP cetified I beleive you would have to develop your own interface which would mean each would be unique and fairly time consuming. I think we may have a plant that has done some of this I'll check but what I'm thinking they...

Re: in process inspection

well we don't use 03 inspections for inprocess we use insp points but I think they are a similar concept. I am in the chemical industry so there are many applications for in-process testing the major one being to monitor the reaction. So we might pull a sample every hour to test pH until it gets dow...

Re: Reversing a Return delivery

anthony - Actually once an inspection lot is created you can't reverse. It doesn't matter whether or not you make a UD. With the ones that don't have insp lots created can be reversed even if they have been moved out of QI. IF they are still in QI then nothing needs to be done if they have been move...

Reversing a Return delivery

We seem to be unable to reverse a return delivery and I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions ( Craig) We are running ECC6.0 and currently returns are using movement type 655 which puts material directly into QI stock. For those that we need to inspect we have activated 05 inspections for these so w...

Re: QM and Inbound Delivery

No but why would you set that in the PO in the first place. Why don't you just activate the 01 inspection at the WM location you are receiving it in?

Unfortunately we are not printing using the MRP controller as a key for anything at least not in the QM area.

Re: Early warning inspection

The early inspection lot will create an inspection lot without quantity as soon as you save the process order. If you don't set this then the insp lot isn't created until a confirmation is done against the process order.

I don't recall any config settings but there may be some I'd have to check.

Re: Averaging Inspection Point Values

Ok last question. What if the characteristic is used as kind of process control check for say heat loss, and the spec is 1 -5. When they first start recoding results the values are 11, 9, 5.6, 5, 4.5, 4.3, 4.4 , 4.2, 4.1, 4.3. Now I have set these insp points to average so what numbers will it use t...

Re: Averaging Inspection Point Values

Craig, The only thing I see in the IMG is Define Identifier for Inspection Points under inspection planning. If I go there and look at the deatils of say 100 which are Freely defined Insp Point, there are two fields at the bottom of the detail screen on the Fileds tab. The first says "Number of insp...

Averaging Inspection Point Values

Does anyone know of a way to average values entered for characteristics in an inspection point. Let's say we do a pH test every thirty minutes or so. I know I could create a characteristic to record multiple results but I'm wondering for each pH that is being tested say every 30 minutes, if I create...

Batch Search Strategy records

OK i've had this problem since 4.o but maybe someone knows of a way to help. I want to view the batch search strategies for a customer or material or material group but there doesn't seem to be a way to limit my selection when I look at the Strategy Info. If I enter any value the system shows me all...
