Early lot creation not working

We just went through a system upgrade applying the current service packs and now the early lot creation is not working. If you make an Accept UD on the insp lot all subsequent quantities should go directly to unrestricted but now they do not they stay in QI. Anyone have any idea what might have gott...

Is anyone using multiple specs in SAP

I was wondering if anyone here is using multiple specs in SAP to manage customer specifications? If so are you using both qualitative and quantitative cahracteristics?

Do the qualitative ones valuate properly for the multiple specs?

Qualitative characteristics not valuated properly

Whenever we set up a qualitative characteristic to be used in multiple specs for a customer they are always valulated with the lightning icon indicating they can't be valuated. When we do the RR and valuate there they valuate fine as being accepted but when you go to make the UD and look at the MS y...

Thanks Craig I found it after I posted I kept thinking it was the NAST table and didn't check it.

Condition record tables for COA output

For certain COA output condition records we have set printers to print to. When I pull the records from the tables. (They are all in tables beginning with B like B901 etc) I get the details but I don't get the info on the second page of the record that defines the communication which lists the outpu...

Re: LIMS interface

All you really need to do are the activities in config as long as you are working with a LIMS vendor that has a certified interface to work with SAP. You shouldn't have to write any programs.

Getting class characteristic values from AUSP

I am trying to pull the overwritten values on characteristics within a class and I'm getting stuck on the last table. I think/thought the values would be in AUSP. We start with the material number to get an int # from INOB use that to find the class in KSSK then find the int # of the assigned charac...

Re: Printing quality certificates - Material batch managed

Craig, You will getthe message he is seeing if the inspection lot was not created were the material is shipping from. we just went through the same thing here a couple of weeks ago. It can't find the inspection lot so it obviously doesn't find the specitication then you get the message he is seeing....

Re: Average result to batch characteristic

Craig, is the use of the / sign limited to results across multiple inspection points or will it also work when you are recording multiple results in a single inspection point?

Re: Batch characteristics

I'll let Craig answer the multiple spec question but we implemented it in 6.0 and it is a bit of a nightmare to manage. Right now if we had to do it over again I would say we would not have used multiple specs. They are a majgor pain to set up and we neverr were able to get a good load program to lo...

Re: Batch class conversion

I'm in the middle of some data changes at one of our plants (one that never put there COA's in SAP) but as soon as I finish that I may give it a try, but going through all the work of adding/deleting characteristics seems like a real funky way to have to do this. I'm not sure what process SAP design...

Re: Batch class conversion

Wow that looks very interesting please post whatever info you find, this comes up fairly frequently in our business but most classes as Craig mentioned are different from each other. OK that last point makes me wonder of what use this would really be. In our scenario materials get assigned to a clas...

Re: Batch Information Cockpit

Craig, There isn't any issue with batches it finds all the batches all the time correctly it's just for ALL the batches it doesn't show some of the characteristics, in this case several, Density being the one that I am interested in. That's what's weird, since when I put the class name in the select...
